Summer Cooler Booklet
In summer 2026, our Brooklands and Northenden neighbourhood team and Age Friendly Wythenshawe are piloting a Summer Cooler campaign, which aims to help keep older residents safe and well during hot weather.
After years of success with the Winter Warmer Campaign, they are launching a summer campaign to help keep people well in hotter temperatures.
A Summer Cooler booklet with information about cool hubs, health risks and tips to keep cool has been designed by the group. It also hopes to receive confirmation of funding for Summer Cooler bags, which will be given out to Wythenshawe residents.
There will be targeted distribution to reach our most vulnerable via primary care, district nurses, care navigators, care homes and dementia support groups. View the booklet here [PDF, 3MB]
