Safe and Healthy Baby Service

The Service facilitates a multi-agency, strengths-based approach to supporting families with risk factors in their lives. We work at Early Help level of need.  We work from pregnancy until baby is 1 year.

We also deliver public health messages/multi agency training around safer sleep and reducing infant mortality across Manchester.
To improve outcomes for families and reduce risk factors.
To contribute towards reducing infant mortality in Manchester.

Families from pregnancy until baby is one year of age.

We chair and facilitate multi agency meetings in partnership with families and other key agencies.
We also ensure safe sleeping messages are embedded in practice by providing Public Health education and training for staff and multi-agency partners in Manchester.
The team play a public health role in preventative practices — leading on safe sleeping policies across the city and strategically informing practice to improve outcomes for infants.
