Rusholme Health Visitors in action at local community event
Fantastic work from the Rusholme Health Visiting team at a recent Community Day in Rec Park, Moss Side!
The event followed a local neighbourhood partnership meeting hosted by Adam Conroy, Health and Development Coordinator for Moss Side, Hulme and Rusholme.
The team joined forces with MSV Housing and the Powerhouse to support the day, which focused on youth engagement and the launch of the new knife crime initiative – Blunt Truth.
Recognising the wider impact knife crime can have on families, the team used the opportunity to provide broader safety and health advice to the local community.
Their busy stall included demonstrations on sun safety for children, safe sleeping, oral hygiene, and home safety. They also promoted the fantastic work Rusholme health visitors do every day in the local area – even catching the attention of the local MP, who was very impressed with the team’s efforts!
It was a brilliant day that left the team feeling inspired and motivated to look at more opportunities for community health promotion in the future.
