Neighbourhood Partnership Meeting Presentation

Poverty, Power & Place: Why the Local Matters

Poverty, Power & Place: Why the Local Matters – Neighbourhood Partnership Meeting Presentation

During our January ’23 Neighbourhood Health Partnership meeting, we were pleased to host a presentation delivered by Dr Carl Emery and Louisa Dawes from the University of Manchester.

The talk is titled ‘Poverty, Power and Place: Why the Local Matters’ and shines a spotlight on national poverty statistics in the context of Greater Manchester, myths associated with poverty and local approaches already being undertaken.

Discussions of this sort will allow us to continue to develop our work together tackling poverty and hopefully, this is a major stepping-stone in our organisations to collaboratively address this blight.
