Working together and collaborating with partner organisations, Wythenshawe Integrated Neighbourhood Team and Brooklands and Northenden Integrated Neighbourhood Team held two community events to promote local services and provide Covid-19 winter booster vaccinations.

In recent weeks, our integrated neighbourhood teams in Wythenshawe have been working hard to ensure eligible members of the local community top up their protection against COVID-19 this autumn.

They’ve taken the blue NHS vaccination van right into the heart of the community, attending events to engage with residents, and have been very successful. This has included attendance at the Men’s International Day celebratory event at the Lifestyle Centre, where they vaccinated over 160 people. They’ve also worked in collaboration with Wythenshawe Good Neighbours to host a pop-up clinic at Northenden Social Club and delivered 130 vaccinations. One local, aged 101, was really pleased with the team’s efforts and even stepped up for a picture.
