Thrive Manchester (alongside partners) are offering a free training session for staff and volunteers working in Wythenshawe who want to learn more about trauma-informed practice.

The training event, which seeks to raise awareness of the impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and Trauma across Wythenshawe and position the neighbourhood as a more trauma-informed and trauma-responsive place, takes place on Friday 8th December.

  • Why do protective factors offer us hope?
  • How protective factors impact childhood adversity What trauma is, and what trauma isn’t
  • Understanding a person’s physical and emotional response to trauma.
  • How do we become trauma-informed in our practices

As a professional community in our Neighbourhood, we can integrate these protective factors into what we do.
