The Spring/Summer 2025 edition of the Step Up MCR community newspaper has started landing on doorsteps, bringing stories that celebrate local people and projects.

Step Up is a place-based giving organisation, dedicated to helping grassroots ideas take shape and flourish. They connect local giving with community-led initiatives, strengthen the infrastructure behind emerging projects, and nurture spaces for peer learning and networking.

For the past six years, we’ve worked with Step Up to support their growth through the Neighbourhood Health and Wellbeing Fund. Together, we’re helping to build stronger, healthier and more connected neighbourhoods — across Ancoats, Beswick, Clayton, and Openshaw.
