We’re proud to unveil a powerful new video featuring BAFTA-winning actor, writer and director Craig Cash (The Royle Family, Early Doors), raising awareness of a vital NHS health check that could save lives — the Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) screening.

In the video, Craig highlights how AAA screening is a quick, simple, and painless ultrasound test offered to men during the year they turn 65. The condition, which often develops without symptoms, can be life-threatening if undetected. That’s why early screening is so important.

Craig’s message encourages eligible men to take up their invitation when it arrives – or to contact their local screening service if they’re over 65 and haven’t yet been screened.

AAA mostly affects men aged 65 and over, and screening can detect problems before they become serious. The screening is free, and appointments are available across Greater Manchester.
