Manchester Bowel and Bladder Service – North Manchester

The service offers specialist nurse led assessment for people with bladder (lower urinary tract) or bowel problems.

The aim of this service is to reduce unnecessary consultant referrals and treat people in primary care where appropriate.

The continence service will provide treatment and care to patients who suffer with urinary incontinence, prostate problems and faecal incontinence.

Continence service provides treatment such as pelvic floor exercises, bladder retraining, lifestyle advice. Examinations of the pelvic floor and prostate are carried out. Bladder scans and flow rates are undertaken if required.

Patients can self refer or be referred by carers, GP, consultant and other health care professionals.
