This Van Can: 1st June – Asda Harpurhey
ThisVanCan is a Greater Manchester NHS mobile health clinic in a van. It aims to find men at risk of prostate cancer so that they can be diagnosed earlier to ultimately save lives. When caught earlier prostate cancer is often more treatable and men make a full recovery.
You are more likely to get prostate cancer if you are:
- Black and over age 45
- If you have a family history of prostate, breast or ovarian cancer and are over 45. This means your father or brother has had prostate cancer when they were under the age of 55 or your mother or sister has had breast or ovarian cancer when they were under the age of 50. (further information about family history)
Men, or people with a prostate, who fit into either of these groupscan book an appointment at our ThisVanCan roadshow. You are able to use this service if you registered with a GP in Greater Manchester.
