Come along to the British Muslim Heritage Centre for a day of information, knowledge sharing and learning for people from Asian backgrounds across Greater Manchester. Interpreters are available.

Funded by NHS England 'Mind the Gap' Project, and focussing on helping unpaid family carers from within the Asian Community, the day will have many things you'd like to know as well as things you don't even know you need to know!

We will have representation from Carer Organisations, social enterprises, housing providers, employers and many more.

There will also be support and advice on completing application forms, as well as explanations on how to access culturally appropriate support for your loved ones.

Time: 9:30am to 4:30pm

Venue: The British Muslim Heritage Centre, College Road Whalley Range M16 8BP

Here's an idea of what will be offered on the day:

  • Know your rights and what's on offer to you
  • Help to complete forms
  • Health advice and information

Interpretation will be available in many languages: Urdu, Punjabi, Sariki, Hindi, Pushto and Kashmiri to name a few.

Everyone is welcome, and children's activities will be available too!

  • Public Entry: 9:30am
  • Refreshments: 10:00am
  • Refreshments: 1:00pm
  • Mark Fisher ICB and others talk: 1:00pm
  • Close: 4pm

There will also be a Question and Answer session (1:00pm to 2:00pm) with senior leaders from the health and care system in Greater Manchester.
